CEO and Managing Director


Ian Levy has thirty years senior management experience with small to large mining companies, including WMC, Pancontinental Mining, Gympie Gold and CEO of Allegiance Mining, involving development of bauxite, gold, coal, base metals, nickel and industrial minerals projects from discovery to marketing. He is Chairman of Dynasty Metals Australia and a former Director of Gloucester Coal. He was a member of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) for 11 years including 4 years as Vice Chairman and Federal President, Australian Institute of Geoscientists

Paul Lennon, AO 

Non-Executive Chairman

Mr. Paul Lennon accepted appointment to the board as Non-Executive Director 28 November 2013He was appointed Chairman on the 18 June 2014.

Mr Lennon served as the 42nd Premier of Tasmania for four years until 2008, after serving as Treasurer between 2004 and 2006. Mr Lennon's experience in the resources sector is considerable. He was the Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources (1998-2002), and later Minister for Economic Development, Energy and Resources (2002-2004) while Deputy Premier of Tasmania (1998-2004).

Aside from this prominent ministerial experience Mr Lennon has previously held senior positions working for and representing trade organisations and workers throughout the 1980s. This experience allowed Mr Lennon to lead negotiations with European, UK, American and Chinese companies in commercial matters of state and national significance.

Ken Boundy

MBA, MAgrSc, Fellow of AIM, AIST

Ken Boundy is a professional Non Executive Director and Chairman who has, since 2004, served on more than 20 boards across 11 sectors of the economy. He was the Founding Chairman of Regnan, Australia’s leading ESG advocate and governance adviser. Ken supplements his board experience with an executive career spanning research, marketing and leadership roles, including CEO of Goodman Fielder’s listed Asian business in Singapore. Ken had a principal leadership role in the successful penetration by building products company, James Hardie, into the USA and Philippines. He has been a Fellow of AICD since 1996 and has Masters degrees in Agricultural Science and Business Administration.

Leon Hawker 

Chief Operating Officer

Leon Hawker has more than 30 years experience in the Australian petroleum, transport and logistics industries with BP/Castrol and Toll Transport, holding senior positions in Technical Services, Administration, Customer Service and Sales. His career has focused on dealings with both the mining and agricultural industries.
Leon has led large national teams, specialising in the Commercial/B2B sector and held Directorships while always maintaining close relationships with individual customers, mines, landholders, rural businesses and communities and, at times, dealing with community safety and environmental standards. Leon is a landholder in rural Victoria where he is heavily involved with the local Landcare and rural Country Fire Authority (CFA).

Paul Glover 

Logistics and Exploration

Over 20 years experience in the Fuels and Lubricants industry including roles in sales, production, and supply mostly at management level. Design Draughtsman in electronics and communications for Department of Defence.  

Daily activities at Australian Bauxite include negotiations with Landholders to arrange access for the purpose of exploration.  Assist Geologists with Reconnaissance and preliminary exploration activities. Assist with the logistical requirements of Geologists and field teams for exploration programs.
